Two hundred armed-men with bloodhounds are searching tonight for the negro who murdered Mrs. Edna Opelousas and her three children at Rayne, La, late this afternoon. His capture and lynching is regarded as a matter of a few hours. The negro assaulted Mrs. Opelousas before he killed her and the children. Mrs. Opelousas is the daughter of a famous Louisiana family for which the town of Opelousas if named.
Two negro women have been arrested as being possible witnesses and it if feared they will be lynched, too.
