Sheriff Fontenot and posse are hunting for clews to the perpetrator of a murder at Rayne which took place about 1 o'clock this morning.
Edna Opelousas, a negro woman, and her three children, ranging in age from 4 to 9 years, were attacked with an ac. Screams were heard coming from the woman's house. When neighbors arrived they found the woman dead with her skull split by a blow from an ax. The three children had been hacked with the ax and will die. A negro has been arrested on suspicion.
